Odes For IOU’s

Dancing Liberty

Dancing liberty
joy screams
awakening robot mumbo-jumbo
grapefruit & stinging nettle
opening tickles O just to be
clear & free, the neutral
hobbling along as a Rollo May
sunflower, feminine in overlapping
little chinese steps, marching behind
reduced or expanded, become one with the One
not listening for nothing always giving
its voice, tromboned by moonlight
impossible chance encountering an innocent
henny penny at dawn weeping into a wishing well
loose dionysian hung on the wings of unmusic
playing in the absolute open, I, you, us & them
intimate & distant, painfully lovely,
sans up, wall & ground
handballing a mouse never to quite return
quaked from birth who longs for our start
that is always now?
